Methane detector DD-14-Nstd – reliable explosion protection
The DD-14-Nstd gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of methane concentration in rooms. It uses a semiconductor sensor, providing high selectivity and measurement accuracy. The detector is particularly useful in places where there is a risk of explosion or accumulation of this gas, such as hotels, offices, public buildings or large industrial facilities.
Functionality and application
The device cyclically measures the methane concentration in the air and, in the event of exceeding the defined alarm thresholds (A1/A2/A3), activates optical and acoustic signaling. Alarm information is also sent to the control module via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol, enabling remote monitoring and diagnostics of the gas detection system. This makes the detector perfect for GAZEX gas detection systems, providing a quick response in hazardous situations. The replaceable sensor module facilitates maintenance and reduces the cost of device operation.
Construction and characteristic features
The DD-14-Nstd detector is distinguished by its solid construction and ease of installation. Compact dimensions (80 x 103 x 32 mm) allow installation in various places, both on the wall and in standard flush-mounted electrical installation boxes with a diameter of 60mm. The use of screwless connectors facilitates the connection of shielded telecommunication cables and allows for quick disconnection of the detector from the RS-485 bus for servicing or replacement. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation, thermal compensation and a history of alarm states. Additionally, the device has a NO/NC contact output (bistable relay) and the ability to configure settings using the dedicated DETnet View software.
- High selectivity: The semiconductor sensor provides a precise measurement of methane concentration, minimizing the risk of false alarms.
- Configuration flexibility: The ability to set three alarm thresholds (A1/A2/A3) allows you to adapt the device to the specific requirements of the installation.
- Remote monitoring: RS-485 communication with the MODBUS RTU protocol enables remote monitoring of the detector status and gas detection system.
- Easy maintenance: The replaceable sensor module simplifies servicing and reduces operating costs.
- Standards and calibration: All detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
- Calibration on request: The possibility of calibrating the device to individual customer needs ensures optimal measurement accuracy in specific working conditions.
- Acoustic signaling: The built-in acoustic signaling informs about exceeding the alarm threshold (can be disabled).
- Supply voltage: 12/24V= – a wide range of supply voltage ensures compatibility with various power systems.
