Gas detector DD-14 methane (selective), 10/20/30% LEL, p-p sensor, RS485
Methane detector DD-14 – reliable protection against explosion and poisoning. The DD-14 gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of methane concentration in the air. The use of a selective sensor ensures precise measurement, minimizing the risk of false alarms. The detector is used both in residential and industrial buildings where there is a potential risk of explosion or gas poisoning.
Functionality and application
DD-14 is a digital detector that continuously measures the level of methane in the room. If the defined alarm thresholds (10%, 20% or 30% LEL) are exceeded, optical and acoustic signaling is activated, and information about the hazard is sent to the control module via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol. This enables remote monitoring, identification and diagnostics of the device. The detector is ideal for:
- hotels,
- offices,
- public buildings,
- extensive buildings with rooms threatened by the emission of explosive gases.
Construction and user features
The DD-14 detector is distinguished by its solid construction and ease of use. The replaceable sensor module significantly extends the life of the device and reduces operating costs. Additional advantages include:
- three configurable alarm thresholds (A1/A2/A3) – possibility of adaptation to specific needs;
- built-in microprocessor – ensures stable operation, temperature compensation and alarm history;
- NO/NC relay output – enables integration with alarm and fire systems;
- built-in acoustic signaling – warns of exceeding the permissible gas concentration;
- easy installation – possibility of connection with shielded telecommunication cables and mounting in an installation box Ø60mm;
- configuration using dedicated DETnet View software;
- calibration in an accredited GAZEX laboratory (PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard).
The device is powered by 12/24V= voltage and its compact dimensions (80 x 103 x 32 mm) allow for discreet mounting. It is worth adding that GAZEX detectors are known for their high reliability and measurement accuracy.
