Gas detectors – reliable safety in every room

Digital gas detectors of the DD-P series, such as the DD-P8R model, are devices designed for continuous monitoring of harmful gas concentrations in rooms. They serve to monitor the gas concentration in the air and, in the event of exceeding defined thresholds, activate optical and acoustic signaling, and also transmit information to the control system via the RS-485 port. These detectors are used both in residential and public buildings, ensuring the safety of users and protecting installations.

Application and functionality

The DD-P8R detector is dedicated to measuring carbon dioxide (CO2). Equipped with an IR sensor, it allows for precise measurement of the gas concentration, which is particularly important in poorly ventilated rooms. Set alarm thresholds – 800 ppm, 1400 ppm and 1800 ppm – allow for a quick response to potential hazards. The device is compatible with the Digital Gas Detection System, allowing integration with more complex monitoring systems.

Construction and operation

A key advantage of DD-P8R detectors is the ability to replace the sensor module. This solution significantly extends the life of the device and reduces operating costs, as there is no need to replace the entire detector in the event of a sensor failure. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation, thermal compensation and alarm status history. The aesthetic white housing facilitates wall mounting, both surface-mounted and flush-mounted (using a 60mm diameter installation box). Additionally, the detector has a NO/NC contact output and acoustic signaling (with the possibility of disabling).

It is worth remembering that all GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibration Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees high measurement accuracy.
