Propane-Butane Gas Detector – Safety and Reliability in Your Home
This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of propane-butane (LPG) presence in enclosed spaces, providing protection for both users and installers. The device is ideal for alarm systems, reacting to dangerous gas concentrations and transmitting hazard information. Thanks to the replaceable sensor module, maintenance is simple and economical.
Application and Functionality
The DD-PB/AP detector is a reliable solution for places where there is a risk of LPG leakage. It will work in kitchens with gas appliances, boiler rooms, garages, as well as in rooms with air conditioning or refrigeration units. Its versatility allows for wall or flush-mount installation. Optical and acoustic signaling informs about exceeding the permissible gas concentration, and the relay output enables integration with the alarm system.
- Wide range of applications: kitchens, boiler rooms, garages, rooms with refrigeration and air conditioning units.
- Integration with alarm system: NO/NC relay output allows connection to an existing security system.
- Replaceable sensor: simple replacement of the sensor module lowers operating costs and ensures long-term use.
- Multifunctional signaling: clear optical and acoustic signaling warns of danger.
- Easy installation: wall or flush-mount installation options make installation easier.
Construction and Technical Parameters
The detector is equipped with a highly durable semiconductor gas sensor and a control microprocessor ensuring stable operation and thermal compensation. Three alarm thresholds (A1/A2/A3) are calibrated as standard, and the recommended calibration every 3 years is signaled optically. The device is powered by 12V DC and has a NO/NC relay output with a capacity of 2A/30V=. The housing made of durable ABS provides resistance to mechanical damage. The detector is calibrated in its own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
The use of an intelligent sensor allows for long-term and precise detection of propane-butane gas in the range of 10-30% LEL (lower explosive limit). This is crucial for ensuring safety in places where LPG leaks may occur – from cookers to heating boilers.
