Gas Detectors DEX/F – Reliable Safety in Hazardous Areas
Gas detectors of the DEX/F series are devices designed to detect dangerous concentrations of gases or vapors of liquids in enclosed spaces. They signal exceeding two alarm thresholds (A1, A2), ensuring a quick response in emergency situations. The explosion-proof design makes these detectors suitable for use even in the most demanding conditions, in areas at risk of explosion.
Application and Compatibility
DEX/F detectors work with various control modules, such as MD-1.A/T, MD-1, MD-2, MD-4, MDP-1.A/T, MDP-1 PLUS, MDP-4, MDP-8, MDP-16 and addressable modules MDD-1, MDD-1/T and MDD-1x/T. A wide range of compatible modules allows for flexible adaptation of the detection system to individual needs and installation requirements.
Construction and Characteristics
The DEX-3K/N detector is a model designed to detect organic compounds in the range of 20/40% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit). It has a catalytic sensor and a brass housing, ensuring durability and corrosion resistance. F4-B execution guarantees high reliability and safety of use. DEX detectors meet the stringent requirements of the ATEX Directive, confirming their compliance with European safety standards.
- Explosion-proof construction: possibility of use in areas at risk of explosion (IIA, IIB, IIC; T1-T6).
- Replaceable sensors: reduced operating costs thanks to the possibility of replacing worn sensors without having to replace the entire detector.
- High accuracy: thanks to the use of advanced thermal and linear compensation algorithms.
- Modularity: easy integration with existing alarm and control systems.
- Calibration: all detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Calibrating Laboratory accredited in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025.
- Durable housing: brass housing provides resistance to mechanical damage and corrosion.
Installation and Operation
DEX/F detectors are characterized by simple installation and operation. They do not require calibration at the installation site, which significantly shortens the system start-up time. Compact dimensions (105 x 103 x 54 mm) facilitate installation even in hard-to-reach places. Regular inspection of the technical condition and replacement of sensors in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations ensure long-term and reliable operation of the device.
