Gas Detectors DEX/F – Reliable Protection Against Hazards
Gas detectors of the DEX/F series are devices designed to detect hazardous concentrations of gases or vapors of explosive liquids, toxic substances, or oxygen in enclosed spaces. They signal exceeding two alarm thresholds (A1, A2) set in the replaceable sensor module. Thanks to the modular design and a wide range of sensors, these detectors find application in many industries – from the chemical industry, through energy, to gas installations and ventilation systems.
Design and Application
DEX/F detectors are made in an aluminum housing, providing strength and corrosion resistance. The explosion-proof design (flameproof enclosure) allows their use in hazardous areas (1 or 2), where flammable gases or vapors belonging to explosion groups IIA, IIB or IIC occur. These devices cooperate with various control modules – threshold (MD-1.A/T, MD-1, MD-2, MD-4), measurement-threshold (MDP-1.A/T, MDP-1 PLUS, MDP-4, MDP-8, MDP-16) and addressable (MDD-1, MDD-1/T, MDD-1x/T), which ensures flexibility and the possibility of integration with existing safety systems.
Advantages and Benefits
- Versatility: Available models with various sensors – semiconductor, catalytic, conductivity, electrochemical and optical (Infra-Red) – allow you to choose a detector perfectly suited to a specific application.
- Replaceable sensors: Ensure low-cost and long-term operation by allowing the replacement of worn or damaged elements without the need to replace the entire device.
- Modularity: Simplified design and easy connections minimize installation and configuration time.
- High accuracy: Built-in thermal and linear compensation algorithms ensure precise measurements even in changing environmental conditions.
- Compliance with standards: Meet the requirements of Directive ATEX 2014/34/UE and the Regulation of the Minister of Development of June 6, 2016, guaranteeing safe use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
- Calibration: All detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Calibrating Laboratory accredited in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
This model – DEX-7KL/N – is equipped with a catalytic sensor designed to detect hydrogen (H2) and acetylene. Calibration at the level of 10/30 %LEL H2 ensures optimal sensitivity and measurement accuracy in typical industrial applications. F4-C design with an aluminum housing guarantees durability and resistance to environmental conditions.
