Design and application
The DEX-A12/N-Nstd detector is part of the DEX/A threshold detector series, designed to monitor the presence of explosive, toxic gases or oxygen in closed rooms. Thanks to the 3-wire 4-20mA (passive) interface, the detector easily integrates with various control and alarm systems, such as measuring-threshold control modules MDP-1.A/T, MDP-1 PLUS or addressable MDD-1. The ability to cooperate with various alarm panels after using the power limiter MDPL1 increases the flexibility of the installation. The device finds application in industry, warehouses, boiler rooms and in residential buildings with gas installations.
Safety and compliance with standards
The detector meets the requirements of the ATEX Directive 2014/34/UE, confirming its safety of use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The explosion-proof construction of the flameproof enclosure allows operation in hazardous areas (1 or 2) for explosion groups IIA, IIB or IIC and temperature classes T1 to T6. This is crucial for ensuring safety in demanding industrial environments. The detector is equipped with two bistable (threshold) outputs, allowing connection to external alarm systems and automatic gas shut-off if necessary.
