Gas detector DEX-P3R/N for organic gases, 100% LEL, P4-B construction, IR sensor, brass housing
Gas detector for potentially explosive environments
The DEX-P3R/N gas detector is a reliable device designed for continuous monitoring of organic gas concentrations in enclosed spaces. It utilizes an infrared (IR) sensor, ensuring precise and stable measurement, even in challenging industrial conditions. The detector's construction, based on a brass housing and meeting ATEX requirements, allows for safe use in explosion-hazard areas.
Application and functionality
The device is ideal for monitoring the presence of organic gases in various industrial applications, such as:
- Chemical and petrochemical industry – control of solvent and other organic substance leaks.
- Refineries and oil processing plants – monitoring the atmosphere in areas of potential hazard.
- Food industry – detection of gases generated during fermentation or product storage.
- Warehouses and storage facilities – protection against the accumulation of hazardous substances.
- Ventilation and air conditioning systems – ensuring a safe level of gases in the air.
The detector works with various control modules and alarm panels accepting a 4-20mA signal, facilitating integration with existing safety systems. The possibility of using a power limiter MDPL1 expands the compatibility range with various devices.
Construction and safety
The DEX-P3R/N features a robust explosion-proof construction, meeting the stringent requirements of ATEX Directive 2014/34/UE. This means that the detector can be safely used in zones 1 or 2 hazardous with gas or flammable vapor explosions with explosiveness groups IIA, IIB or IIC and temperature classes T1 to T6. P4-B execution provides high resistance to external factors and long-term reliability. The replaceable IR sensor allows for easy calibration and maintenance of the device, minimizing operating costs. Detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Accredited Calibration Laboratory according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation no. AP150), which guarantees measurement accuracy.
