Hydrogen Detection – Reliability and Safety

The DEX-P7KL/N gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of hydrogen concentration in the air. Equipped with a catalytic sensor, it provides a precise measurement in the range up to 100% Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) of hydrogen. Explosion-proof construction and a robust aluminum housing guarantee reliable operation even in harsh industrial conditions.

Application and functionality

The DEX-P7KL/N detector is used wherever there is a risk of hydrogen leakage – from laboratories and production plants to fueling stations and warehouses. The device is compatible with various control and signaling systems, thanks to the standard 4-20mA analog current output. Integration with MDP-1.A/T, MDP-1 PLUS, MDP-4, MDP-8, MDP-16 and addressable MDD-1, MDD-1/T, MDD-1x/T control modules provides flexibility and ease of gas detection system configuration. Additionally, the detector can work with other control panels accepting the 4-20mA signal after using the MDPL1 power limiter.

Construction and safety

The device has an explosion-proof flameproof enclosure, which allows its safe use in areas at risk of explosion of gases or flammable vapors (IIA, IIB, IIC), with different temperature classes (T1 to T6). It meets the requirements of Directive ATEX 2014/34/UE and has appropriate certificates confirming compliance with safety standards. P4-C execution and aluminum housing ensure durability and corrosion resistance. Remember to calibrate the device regularly – all GAZEX detectors are calibrated in an authorized Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
