The DG-0E.CL2/MR gas detector is a device designed for continuous monitoring of chlorine concentration in the air. It utilizes an electrochemical sensor, which ensures precise measurement in the range up to 1/3 ppm. The detector is a key element of gas detection systems, especially in industrial plants, logistics centers and public utility facilities, where control of harmful substance concentrations is essential.

Detectors from the DG/MR series are characterized by a modular design, allowing for easy sensor replacement – which translates to simplified maintenance and reduced operating costs. Built-in relays and RS-485 communication with MODBUS RTU protocol allow integration with digital supervisory systems and rapid response in the event of exceeding permissible norms.

Functionality and application

The device signals an alarm optically, as well as by changing the state of the built-in relays. Information about exceeding the alarm threshold can also be transmitted to the central supervisory module via the RS-485 network. This makes it possible to quickly notify of a hazard and take appropriate action. The detector finds application everywhere where there is a risk of chlorine emission – from laboratories to chemical plants and water treatment plants.

It is worth emphasizing that DG/MR detectors are not intended for use in areas at risk of explosion of gases, vapors or dusts – these are devices of conventional construction.
