Gas detectors – reliable protection and control
The digital detectors of the DG/MR series are devices designed for continuous monitoring of the presence of gases in various environments – from industrial plants and logistics centers to public utility facilities. Their task is to measure the gas concentration in the air and trigger an alarm if permissible levels are exceeded. These detectors are an integral part of the Digital Gas Detection System, enabling comprehensive control and a quick response to potential hazards.
The DG/MR detectors are characterized by a modular design, which means that the sensor module can be easily replaced. This simplifies maintenance, calibration and reduces operating costs. Semiconductor, electrochemical and optical (Infra-Red) sensors are available, allowing you to choose the appropriate type for a specific application. The device is equipped with two alarm thresholds or measurement mode (in the case of electrochemical and Infra-Red sensors) and two relays with NO/NC contacts on a removable board.
Application and functionality
The DG-0E.HCL/MR detector is designed to detect hydrogen chloride (HCl). It uses an electrochemical sensor with high selectivity and measurement accuracy. Communication is via an RS-485 port with the MODBUS RTU protocol, enabling integration with monitoring and control systems. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable and reliable operation, and the thermal compensation system minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement results. Additionally, the detector has a history of alarm states and a semi-automatic addressing function in a digital network.
Construction and mounting
The DG/MR detectors have a housing made of high-impact ABS/PC with an IP54 protection rating for electronic circuits and IP44 for the sensor cover (selected models IP33). Mounting is done using two mounting points. The device is equipped with screwless, removable terminals for connecting two FTP cables and two cable glands to facilitate connecting additional detectors in the system. It should be remembered that these detectors cannot be used in areas classified as zones hazardous due to the explosion of gases, vapors or dusts – these are devices of conventional construction.
