Gas detector – reliable protection of the working environment

The DG-0E.NO2/MR gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) concentration in rooms. It uses an electrochemical sensor, providing precise and reliable measurements. The detector is a key element of gas detection systems, enabling a quick response in the event of exceeding permissible norms and ensuring safety in industrial plants, logistics centers, and public utility facilities.

Functionality and application

The device is designed to work with a Digital Gas Detection System, communicating via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol. When a dangerous gas concentration is detected, the detector activates a built-in optical signaling and activates two low-voltage relays (NO/NC contacts), transmitting information to the central supervisory module. The replaceable sensor module facilitates maintenance, calibration, and reduces operating costs.

The DG-0E.NO2/MR detector finds application in:

• industrial plants where there is a risk of nitrogen dioxide emissions;
• logistics centers requiring air quality monitoring;
• public utility facilities such as hospitals or schools;

Construction and user features

The detector is characterized by a solid construction and ease of installation. Screwless terminals facilitate the connection of FTP cables, and two cable glands allow connecting subsequent detectors to the network. The built-in microprocessor ensures the stability and reliability of the device, and the thermal compensation circuit minimizes the impact of temperature changes on the accuracy of measurements. Additionally, the detector has a history of alarm states and a semi-automatic addressing function in the digital network – all to simplify the installation and maintenance process. It is important to remember that DG/MR detectors are of conventional construction and cannot be used in areas classified as zones hazardous due to the explosion of gases, vapors or dusts. All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
