The DG-12/MR gas detector is a reliable device designed for continuous monitoring of methane concentration in the air. It finds application in industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities and large rooms where there is a risk of explosive gas emissions. Its main task is to early detect dangerous gas concentrations, which allows for a quick response and risk minimization.

Functionality and communication

The DG-12/MR detector uses a semiconductor sensor to precisely measure methane concentration in the range of 10/30% LEL. It has two alarm thresholds or measurement mode, which allows for flexible adaptation to specific application requirements. Built-in two relays with NO/NC contacts allow for direct control of external devices, such as ventilation systems or shut-off valves. Communication is via RS-485 port with MODBUS RTU protocol, enabling integration with digital gas detection systems and remote monitoring of device status.

The construction of the DG-12/MR detector has been designed with ease of installation and maintenance in mind. The replaceable sensor module simplifies calibration and reduces operating costs – replacing a damaged sensor is quick and easy. Screwless terminals facilitate connection of wires, and two cable glands allow connecting subsequent detectors in a network. The control microprocessor ensures stable and reliable operation of the device, and the thermal compensation circuit minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement accuracy. The detector has a history of alarm states, which facilitates analysis of events and identification of potential problems. Configuration of settings is done using dedicated software „DETnet View”. The device is powered by 24V=. The dimensions of the detector are 110 x 140 x 55 mm.
