Digital detectors of the DG/MR series are devices designed for continuous monitoring of gas presence in rooms. Their task is to measure the concentration of a given gas in the air, and in the event of exceeding defined values, an alarm is activated and information is sent to the central supervisory module via the RS-485 network. These detectors are used in industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities, and anywhere where there is a risk of emission of toxic or explosive gases.

Construction and functionality

DG/MR detectors are characterized by a modular design, allowing for the replacement of the sensor module – semiconductor, electrochemical, or optical. This construction facilitates maintenance, calibration, and reduces operating costs. The devices are not intended for use in explosion-hazardous areas. They are equipped with two alarm thresholds or measurement mode (depending on the sensor), two relays with NO/NC contacts, and RS-485 communication with the MODBUS RTU protocol. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable and reliable operation of the detector, and the thermal compensation circuit minimizes the impact of temperature changes on the accuracy of measurements. Additionally, the detector has a history of alarm states and the possibility of semi-automatic addressing in a digital network.
