Propane-Butane Gas Detector – Reliable Protection of Your Environment
This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of propane-butane concentration in the air. The device signals exceeding permissible norms, allowing for a quick response and preventing potential hazards. It is a key safety element in places where there is a risk of leakage of this type of gas, both for installers responsible for installation and service, and for end-users who care about protecting health and property.
Functionality and application
The DG-15/MR detector uses a semiconductor sensor to precisely measure the concentration of propane-butane. When a dangerous gas level is detected, the built-in optical signaling is activated, and at the same time, relays are activated, which can trigger additional alarm systems or shut off the gas supply. Communication is via the RS-485 port with the MODBUS RTU protocol, enabling integration with supervision and control systems.
The device finds application in:
- industrial plants,
- logistics centers,
- public utility facilities,
- large rooms exposed to explosive gas emissions.
Construction and characteristic features
The DG-15/MR detector is distinguished by its solid construction and ease of use. The replaceable sensor module allows for quick calibration and reduces operating costs. Additional advantages include:
- two alarm thresholds or measurement mode,
- built-in two relays with NO/NC contacts,
- possibility of semi-automatic addressing in a digital network without the need to open the housing,
- screwless terminals facilitating the connection of FTP cables,
- two cable glands providing easy connection of subsequent detectors in the system.
The device is powered by 24 V= and has compact dimensions (110 x 140 x 55 mm). It is factory calibrated according to the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard by the accredited laboratory GAZEX (PCA No. AP150), which guarantees its accuracy and reliability of measurements. The sensor reacts to concentrations of propane-butane in the range of 10/30/(40)% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit).
