Gas detectors – reliable protection and control
Digital detectors from the DG/MR series, such as the DG-15/MR model, are devices designed for continuous monitoring of gas concentrations in various spaces. Their task is to ensure safety by early detection of dangerous levels of propane-butane gas. This detector, equipped with a semiconductor sensor, reacts to concentrations in the range of 10-30% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit), making it an effective tool in preventing hazards.
These detectors find application in industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities, and large rooms where there is a risk of emission of toxic or explosive gases. The alarm signal is activated when defined concentration thresholds are exceeded, and alarm information is transmitted to the central supervisory module via RS-485 communication. This allows for a quick response and minimization of potential damage.
Functionality and construction for professionals and users
The DG-15/MR detector is distinguished by its modular construction. The replaceable sensor module facilitates maintenance, calibration and reduces operating costs – replacing a damaged sensor is simple and does not require replacing the entire device. Built-in two relays with NO/NC outputs allow integration with alarm and control systems. Screwless terminals simplify the connection of wires, and two cable glands allow connecting subsequent detectors in a network.
Additionally, the detector has a built-in microprocessor ensuring stable and reliable operation and a thermal compensation circuit for precise measurements. The history of alarm states allows for analysis of events and identification of potential problems. Configuration of settings is done using dedicated "DETnet View" software, providing full control over the device's operating parameters. GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Accredited Calibration Laboratory according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation no. AP150), which guarantees measurement accuracy.
Key product features:
- High sensitivity: Semiconductor sensor provides precise measurement of propane-butane concentration in the range of 10-30% LEL.
- RS-485 communication: Enables integration with monitoring and control systems and remote data reading.
- Two alarm thresholds: Allow flexible adaptation to specific application requirements.
- Replaceable sensor module: Facilitates maintenance and reduces operating costs.
- Built-in relays: Allow direct control of external devices in case of alarm.
- Software configuration: Dedicated "DETnet View" software provides easy configuration and monitoring of the detector.
- Compliance with standards: Calibration in their own Accredited Calibration Laboratory according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 guarantees measurement accuracy.
However, let us remember that DG/MR detectors are devices of conventional construction and cannot be used in places classified as zones hazardous with explosion of gases, vapors or dusts – this important limitation must be taken into account when selecting appropriate equipment for a specific application.
