Gas detector DG-1R2/M methane, 10/30% LEL, IR sensor
Gas detectors – reliable safety in every facility
The DG-1R2/M gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of methane presence in rooms. It uses an optical sensor (Infra-Red) for precise measurement of gas concentration in the range of 10/30% LEL, providing fast and reliable detection of potential hazards. The detector signals an alarm optically, and information about exceeding permissible norms is transmitted to the digital supervisory module via the standard RS-485.
Application and functionality
The DG-1R2/M detector finds application in a wide spectrum of facilities, such as industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities, and large rooms exposed to explosive gas emissions. The device is ideal for anywhere where ensuring safety and rapid response to potential methane hazards is key.
It is worth emphasizing that the detectors from the DG/M series are designed to work in a Digital Gas Detection System, which enables the creation of a comprehensive and integrated monitoring system. The replaceable sensor module facilitates maintenance, calibration, and reduces operating costs.
Construction and user features
The DG-1R2/M detector is characterized by a solid construction and a number of features that facilitate installation and use:
- RS-485 communication: Enables integration with supervisory and control systems using the MODBUS RTU protocol.
- Replaceable sensor module: Quick and easy replacement of a damaged or worn sensor without the need to disassemble the entire device. This allows you to adapt the detector to specific application needs.
- Short response time: Thanks to the relatively short permeability of gases through the sensor cover, the detector quickly reacts to changes in methane concentration.
- Built-in microprocessor: Ensures reliability, stable operation, and semi-automatic addressing in the digital network.
- Thermal compensation: The thermal compensation circuit minimizes the impact of ambient temperature changes on measurement accuracy.
- Alarm history: Enables analysis of events and identification of potential problems.
- Screwless terminals: Facilitate the connection of FTP cables without the need for tools.
- Splash-proof housing (IP44): Provides protection against moisture and dust.
- Two cable glands: Allow easy connection of subsequent detectors in the system.
- LED optical signaling: Clear and readable alarm signaling.
- Expandability: Optional equipment with an additional cover or relay output module increases the functionality of the device.
- Software configuration: Allows easy configuration of detector settings using dedicated software available on the manufacturer's website.
- Calibration: All detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Calibrating Laboratory accredited in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
Please remember that DG/M detectors are devices of ordinary construction and cannot be used in places classified as zones hazardous with explosive gases, vapors or dusts. The device is powered by 24V= and its dimensions are 110 x 140 x 55 mm.
