Carbon monoxide detector – reliable safety and control
The DG-22.EN/M gas detector is an economical, digital device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide concentration in premises. Its task is to detect dangerous levels of this gas, which is crucial for ensuring the safety of people and property. The detector signals exceeding the permissible concentration limits using a built-in optical indicator and sends information to the central supervisory module via the RS-485 interface.
Functionality and application
The device finds wide application in various facilities, such as:
- industrial plants and logistics centers,
- public utility facilities (hotels, schools, hospitals),
- garages and underground parking lots (ventilation control and warning of CO presence),
- rooms with heating devices (boiler rooms),
- production halls with processes generating carbon monoxide.
The DG-22.EN/M detector is particularly useful wherever there is a risk of carbon monoxide accumulation, which is odorless and invisible, and its high concentration can be fatal.
Construction and user features
The detector is characterized by a solid construction with a splash-proof housing (IP43), which ensures its reliability even in harsh environmental conditions. It has two cable glands facilitating serial connection of devices. A replaceable semiconductor sensor module allows for easy maintenance, calibration and reduced operating costs. Additionally, the detector is equipped with a built-in microprocessor ensuring stable operation and a thermal compensation circuit. Configuration of settings is done using the dedicated "DETnet View" software.
It is worth noting the possibility of remote monitoring, identification and diagnostics of all detectors in the network via RS-485 communication with the MODBUS RTU protocol. This facilitates gas detection system management and rapid response to potential hazards. The device has three alarm thresholds for gas concentrations, allowing for precise adjustment of sensitivity to specific working conditions. The detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Accredited Calibration Laboratory according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
