Gas detectors – reliable protection against carbon monoxide
The DG-2E/M gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide concentration in rooms. Its task is to quickly detect dangerous levels of CO, which is crucial for ensuring the safety of people and property. This detector, working with the Digital Gas Detection System, is an integral part of a comprehensive monitoring system.
Functionality and application
The device uses an electrochemical sensor to precisely measure the concentration of carbon monoxide. If defined alarm thresholds are exceeded, the detector signals the danger with a built-in LED optical indicator and sends information to the central supervisory module via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol. This allows for a quick response to potential hazards and minimization of their effects.
The DG-2E/M detector finds application in various facilities, such as industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities, and anywhere where there is a risk of carbon monoxide emissions. Its compact dimensions (110 x 140 x 55 mm) and splash-proof housing (IP44) allow for installation in various environmental conditions.
Construction and user features
The detector is characterized by a modular design, which facilitates maintenance and sensor replacement. The replaceable sensor module allows you to adapt the device to specific application needs and reduce operating costs. Additional advantages include:
- RS-485 communication: Enables integration with automation and monitoring systems.
- Built-in microprocessor: Ensures stable and reliable operation of the device and semi-automatic addressing in the digital network.
- Thermal compensation: Eliminates the influence of temperature changes on measurement accuracy.
- Alarm history: Allows analysis of events and identification of potential problems.
- Screwless terminals: Facilitate connection of FTP cables.
- Two cable glands: Allow easy connection of subsequent detectors in the system.
- Configuration with DETnet View software: Allows precise adjustment of the detector's operating parameters to individual needs.
- Calibration in an accredited laboratory: Guarantees measurement accuracy and compliance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
The DG-2E/M detector is powered by 24 V DC, which ensures compatibility with most control and monitoring systems. Standard alarm thresholds for carbon monoxide are 20/100/(200) ppm, which allows for effective detection of even small concentrations of this dangerous gas.
