Gas detectors – reliable protection of your environment

The DG/M series digital detectors are devices designed for continuous monitoring of gas presence in various spaces – from industrial plants and logistics centers to public utility facilities. Their task is to precisely measure the gas concentration in the air and to react immediately when permissible levels are exceeded. Audible and visual alarm signaling, as well as transmission to a digital supervisory module (via the RS-485 network), provides quick information about potential hazards.

These detectors are a key element of the Digital Gas Detection System, offering reliable operation and easy integration with existing monitoring systems. They utilize an interchangeable sensor module – semiconductor, electrochemical, or optical (Infra-Red) – which greatly simplifies maintenance, calibration, and reduces operating costs. The ability to select a sensor for a specific application allows for precise adaptation of the detector to specific needs.

Design and functionality for professionals and users

DG/M detectors are characterized by a solid construction and a number of functions that facilitate installation and operation. A built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation and semi-automatic addressing in a digital network – without the need to open the housing. The thermal compensation system minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement accuracy, and the alarm history allows for event analysis and system optimization.

Splash-proof housing made of high-impact ABS (IP44) and two cable glands facilitate mounting and connection of subsequent detectors in the system. Removable screwless terminals allow connection of two FTP cables, and selective LED optical signaling provides quick identification of the device status. Additionally, it is possible to equip the detector with an additional guard made of steel pipes (AR-1d) or a housing for the ventilation duct (DG/w version), as well as a relay output module (DG/MR).

Important to know: DG/M detectors are devices of conventional construction and cannot be used in areas classified as zones hazardous due to the explosion of gases, vapors or dusts.

Configuration and calibration at the highest level

The detector settings can be easily configured using the dedicated "DETnet View" software, available on the manufacturer's website. All detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory, operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees their high accuracy and reliability of measurements.

The detector has an RS-485 output and a built-in optical signal. Power is supplied from a 24V= voltage. The dimensions of the device are 110 x 140 x 55 mm, and the degree of protection of the housing is IP44, while the sensor guard – IP33 (in selected models).
