Gas detectors – reliable safety in your facility
This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of organic compound concentrations in the air. The device, based on a semiconductor sensor, is used in industrial plants, logistics centers, and public facilities where protection against hazards resulting from the presence of gases is crucial. The DG-31/MR detector is a component of the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System, providing precise measurement and a quick response when permissible levels are exceeded.
Functionality and communication
The device monitors gas levels, and in the event of an alarm, activates optical signaling and transmits information to the supervisory module via an RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol. This allows for remote monitoring of air quality and rapid response to potential hazards. Two built-in relays with adjustable alarm thresholds allow for flexible adaptation of the detector to specific working conditions. A replaceable sensor module facilitates maintenance and reduces operating costs – sensor replacement does not require replacing the entire device.
Construction and mounting
The DG-31/MR detector is characterized by a compact design (110 x 140 x 55 mm) and ease of installation. It has two cable glands, making it easier to connect subsequent detectors in the system. Screwless terminals allow for quick and secure connection of wires. The device is powered by 24 V=, ensuring compatibility with most control systems. A built-in microprocessor guarantees stable and reliable operation of the detector, and a thermal compensation circuit minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement accuracy. Additionally, the detector has a history of alarm states, allowing for event analysis and optimization of the gas detection system.
