Gas detectors – reliable protection and control

Digital detectors of the DG/MR series are devices designed for continuous monitoring of the presence of gases in various spaces – from industrial plants and logistics centers to public utility facilities. The detector measures the gas concentration in the air and, in the event of exceeding defined thresholds, activates optical signaling, activates built-in relays, and sends information to the central supervisory module via the RS-485 network.

DG-3R/MR detectors are equipped with a replaceable sensor module based on infrared (IR) technology, dedicated to detecting organic compounds in the range of 20-40% LEL. The replaceable design of the sensor modules facilitates maintenance, simplifies calibration, and reduces operating costs. The device has two alarm thresholds or can operate in measurement mode, and the built-in relays with adjustable thresholds allow for flexible adaptation to the specific needs of the installation.

Application and functionality

The DG-3R/MR detector finds application wherever continuous monitoring of organic gas concentrations is necessary – both for safety reasons and environmental protection. Thanks to the RS-485 communication with the MODBUS RTU protocol, the detector easily integrates with existing monitoring and control systems. Two cable glands facilitate connecting subsequent detectors in a network, and the possibility of semi-automatic addressing eliminates the need to open the housing during configuration.

The DG-3R/MR detector is factory calibrated in its own GAZEX Accredited Calibration Laboratory in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation no. AP150), which guarantees its measurement accuracy and reliability. Please note that the device has a standard construction and should not be used in areas hazardous due to the explosion of gases, vapors or dusts.
