Gas Detectors DG/MR – reliable monitoring of ammonia concentration
Digital detectors of the DG/MR series are devices designed for continuous monitoring of gas presence in rooms, in this case ammonia. Control is carried out by measuring the gas concentration in the surrounding air. If defined alarm thresholds are exceeded, the detector signals this optically, changes the state of the built-in relays, and transmits information to the digital supervisory module via the RS-485 network. The device is ideal for industrial plants, logistics centers, and public facilities where ensuring safety and atmosphere control is crucial.
The DG/MR detectors are characterized by a modular design, allowing for easy replacement of the sensor module – semiconductor, electrochemical, or optical (Infra-Red). This construction simplifies maintenance, simplifies calibration, and reduces operating costs. Replacing the module allows you to adapt the detector to specific application needs and the type of gas being monitored.
Construction and application
The DG-4E1/MR detector is designed to operate in a temperature range from -40°C, making it a suitable solution even in harsh environmental conditions. It has two low-voltage relay outputs and RS-485 communication with the MODBUS RTU protocol. This allows it to be easily integrated with existing monitoring and control systems. The built-in relays allow direct control of alarm devices or ventilation systems.
DG/MR detectors have a conventional construction and cannot be used in areas classified as zones hazardous due to the explosion of gases, vapors, or dust. Remember this when choosing the installation location.
- Wide application: industrial plants, logistics centers, public facilities, and large rooms threatened by the emission of toxic gases.
- Replaceable sensor: the ability to quickly replace the sensor module without the need to calibrate the entire device.
- RS-485 communication: easy integration with monitoring and control systems using the standard MODBUS RTU protocol.
- Two alarm thresholds: the ability to set two independent alarm thresholds or measurement mode for electrochemical and Infra-Red sensors.
- Screwless terminals: facilitate mounting and connection of wires, especially in hard-to-reach places.
- High measurement accuracy: thanks to the use of a high-quality sensor and thermal compensation system.
- Alarm status history: allows analysis of events and identification of potential problems.
- Semi-automatic addressing: simplifies the configuration of the digital network without the need to open the detector housing.
All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibration Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees their high accuracy and reliability of measurements. Detector settings are configured using the dedicated "DETnet View" software, available on the manufacturer's website.
