The DG-4E2/MR-Nstd gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of ammonia concentration in the working environment. It performs particularly well in wastewater treatment plants, industrial facilities and other sites where there is a risk of this gas emission. The device uses an electrochemical sensor, providing high selectivity and measurement accuracy, and its calibration is adapted to a range below 100 ppm, making it an ideal solution for precise monitoring in critical applications.

Functionality and application

The DG-4E2/MR-Nstd detector is part of the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System, which enables integration with other devices and a central monitoring system. If the permissible ammonia concentration limits are exceeded, the detector activates optical signaling and activates built-in relays, simultaneously transmitting information to the supervisory module via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol. This configuration ensures a rapid response to the threat and minimizes risks to the health and safety of employees. The replaceable sensor module facilitates maintenance, simplifies calibration and reduces operating costs.

Construction and user features

The device is characterized by a solid construction and splash-proof housing, which ensures reliable operation even in harsh industrial conditions. The built-in microprocessor is responsible for stable operation and thermal compensation of measurements. Additional functions include alarm history and semi-automatic addressing in the digital network – all without the need to open the device housing. Thanks to screwless terminals, it is easy to connect FTP cables. The detector has two cable glands to facilitate connection of subsequent devices in the system. The device can be equipped with an additional cover made of steel pipes (AR-1d) or a housing for the ventilation duct (DG/w version), which expands the range of applications. Configuration of settings is done using the dedicated "DETnet View" software.

The device operates with an electrochemical sensor, offers two switching relay outputs and RS-485 communication with the MODBUS RTU protocol. The power supply is 24 V=, and the dimensions of the detector are 110 x 140 x 55 mm.

All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees high accuracy and reliability of measurements. The device should not be used in areas where there is a risk of explosion of gases, vapors or dust.
