Gas detectors of the DG/F series – reliable protection against leaks
The digital DG/F detectors are designed for continuous monitoring of gas presence in rooms, providing a quick response in case of exceeding permissible concentrations. Thanks to interchangeable sensor modules, these devices offer flexibility and ease of maintenance, which translates into lower operating costs. The detectors find application in industrial plants, logistics centers, and public utility facilities, where ensuring safety and rapid response to potential hazards is crucial.
DG/F detectors cooperate with the Digital Gas Detection System, enabling central supervision and control. In case of detecting a dangerous gas concentration, the detector activates optical signaling and transmits information to the supervisory module via the RS-485 network.
Construction and principle of operation
DG/F detectors are characterized by a modular construction, allowing for easy replacement of sensor modules – semiconductor, electrochemical, or optical (Infra-Red). This design facilitates calibration and servicing of the device. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable and reliable operation of the detector. The thermal compensation system minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement accuracy. Additionally, the detector has a history of alarm states, which facilitates analysis of events and identification of potential problems.
The device is equipped with two relays with NO/NC contacts, enabling integration with external alarm or control systems. Screwless terminals facilitate connection of wires, and two cable glands allow for easy connection of subsequent detectors in a network.
Application and specification
This specific model – DG-61/MR – is designed for detecting HFC (Freon) gas in the concentration range of 1000/2000 ppm R410A. It uses a semiconductor (p-p) sensor, which ensures high sensitivity and measurement accuracy. Communication is via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol. Two low-voltage relay outputs allow for flexible configuration of the alarm system.
The DG-61/MR detector is ideal for anywhere where there is a risk of leakage of R410A or R32 refrigerants – e.g. in air conditioning and ventilation systems, industrial coolers or laboratories. It should be remembered that the device cannot be used in places where there is a risk of explosion of gases, vapors or dust (ordinary construction). The detector dimensions are 110 x 140 x 55 mm and the power supply is 24V=. The device is factory calibrated according to the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees its accuracy and reliability of measurements.
