The DG-6R7/M-SF6 gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) concentration in various industrial and public utility facilities. It utilizes proven infrared (IR) measurement technology, ensuring high accuracy and reliable detection. Functionality and Application

The DG-6R7/M-SF6 detector is used wherever there is a risk of SF6 leakage – a gas commonly used in the energy industry, the electrical industry, and in laboratories. The device's fast response time, resulting from the short permeability time of gases through the sensor cover, allows for immediate detection of even small exceedances of permissible norms. A built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation, and a thermal compensation system minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement results. Information about exceeding the alarm threshold is signaled optically using built-in LEDs and transmitted to the supervisory module via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol.

Construction and User Features

The detector is characterized by a solid construction and a splash-proof ABS housing (IP44), which ensures its reliable operation even in harsh environmental conditions. Two cable glands facilitate the connection of subsequent detectors in the system. A replaceable sensor module allows for easy maintenance and calibration of the device, and also enables its adaptation to specific application needs. Additionally, it is possible to expand the detector with a relay output module (DG/MR version) or equip it with an additional cover made of steel pipes (AR-1d) or a housing for the ventilation duct (DG/w version). Detector settings are configured using dedicated "DETnet View" software. All detectors are factory calibrated in their own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory, operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
