Refrigerant Leak Detection – Reliable Safety and Control
The DG-6R7/MR-Nstd gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of refrigerant (HFC - Freon) presence in rooms. It utilizes an optical sensor (Infra-Red) providing precise gas concentration measurement, allowing for a quick response when permissible levels are exceeded. The device is a key element of gas detection systems, guaranteeing safety in industrial plants, logistics centers, and public facilities.
Functionality and Application
The DG-6R7/MR-Nstd detector finds application wherever there is a risk of refrigerant leakage, such as R32 or R410A. Its digital design enables integration with a Digital Gas Detection System via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol. Upon detecting a dangerous gas concentration, the detector activates optical signaling and activates built-in relays, simultaneously transmitting information to the supervisory module. This allows for quick action and minimization of potential hazards.
The detector is particularly useful in:
- industrial plants using refrigeration systems,
- logistics centers storing products requiring controlled temperature,
- public facilities with air conditioning and refrigeration installations.
Construction and User Features
The device is characterized by a modular construction, which facilitates maintenance and replacement of sensory modules. The replaceable sensory module allows for quick calibration and reduces operating costs. Additional features include:
- two alarm thresholds or measurement mode (for Infra-Red sensors),
- built-in two relays with NO/NC contacts on a removable board, enabling flexible configuration of the alarm system,
- semi-automatic addressing in a digital network without the need to open the housing,
- screwless terminals facilitating the connection of FTP cables,
- built-in microprocessor ensuring stable and reliable device operation.
The detector is powered by 24 V=. Its compact dimensions (110 x 140 x 55 mm) allow for easy installation in various locations. The device also has a thermal compensation system and an alarm history for event analysis. All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees measurement accuracy.
