SF6 Gas Detector – Reliable Monitoring in Industrial Plants

The DG-6R7/MR-SF6 gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of SF6 gas concentration in various industrial facilities. It utilizes a high-precision optical sensor (Infra-Red) enabling detection in the range of 500-1500 ppm. The device is a key element of gas detection systems, ensuring a rapid response to exceeding permissible levels and minimizing risks associated with leaks.

Functionality and Application

The DG-6R7/MR-SF6 detector finds application in industrial plants, logistics centers, and public utility facilities where there is a risk of SF6 gas emissions. Its main task is to continuously monitor the gas concentration in the air and generate an alarm when defined thresholds are exceeded. Thanks to RS-485 communication with the MODBUS RTU protocol, the detector can be integrated with digital supervisory systems, enabling remote monitoring and control. Two independent low-voltage relay outputs allow for the activation of additional alarm devices or ventilation systems.

Construction and User Features

The detector is characterized by a modular design, which facilitates sensor replacement and device calibration. The replaceable sensor module allows adaptation of the detector to various applications and reduces operating costs. The housing made of high-impact ABS/PC ensures durability and resistance to mechanical damage. Additionally, the detector has:

The device is powered by 24V= and has compact dimensions (110 x 140 x 55 mm), which facilitates mounting in various locations. It should be remembered that the detector is intended for use in places not classified as zones hazardous due to the explosion of gases, vapors or dusts. GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees high measurement accuracy.
