Hydrogen Gas Detector DG-7E/M-Nstd – reliable protection against explosion and poisoning
This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of hydrogen concentration in the air. The device, based on an electrochemical sensor, provides fast and precise detection, which is crucial in industrial environments, laboratories, and public facilities where the risk of hydrogen leakage may pose a threat. The DG-7E/M-Nstd detector is part of the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System, enabling integration with a central monitoring and alarm system.
Functionality and application
The DG-7E/M-Nstd detector is designed to operate in threshold systems, where exceeding a defined hydrogen concentration threshold (up to 1000 ppm) triggers a visual alarm. The alarm signal is also transmitted to the supervisory module via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol. This allows for a quick response to potential hazards and risk minimization. The device finds application wherever there is a risk of hydrogen leakage – from industrial plants to logistics centers and public facilities.
Construction and user features
The DG-7E/M-Nstd detector is distinguished by its solid construction and ease of use. A replaceable sensor module allows for quick replacement of a damaged sensor or calibration of the device without the need to disassemble the entire detector. The housing made of high-impact ABS (IP44) provides resistance to environmental conditions and water splashes. Two cable glands facilitate connecting subsequent detectors to the network. Additionally, a built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation and semi-automatic addressing in a digital network. The thermal compensation circuit minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement accuracy.
- RS-485 communication: Enables integration with monitoring and control systems.
- Replaceable sensor: Facilitates device maintenance and calibration.
- Optical signaling: Clear visual information about the alarm status.
- 24 V= power supply: Standard power supply voltage simplifies installation.
- IP44 housing: Provides protection against moisture and dirt.
- Alarm history: Allows for event analysis and identification of alarm causes.
- Expandability: Optional possibility of equipping with a relay output module (DG/MR).
The device is calibrated in its own GAZEX Accredited Calibration Laboratory according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation no. AP150), which guarantees its measurement accuracy and reliability.
