Carbon dioxide detector for continuous gas concentration control
The DG-8R/M-Nstd gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in various spaces. It utilizes proven optical sensor technology (Infra-Red), ensuring precise and reliable measurement. The device is a key element of gas detection systems, informing about exceeding permissible norms and potential hazards.
Application and functionality
The DG-8R/M-Nstd detector is used in industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities, and anywhere where CO2 concentration control is necessary. Its digital design allows integration with supervisory systems via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol, enabling remote monitoring and data archiving. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation and semi-automatic addressing in the digital network, simplifying the installation and configuration process.
Construction and user features
The detector is characterized by a solid construction with a splash-proof ABS housing (IP44), ensuring its durability even in harsh environmental conditions. It has two cable glands to facilitate connecting subsequent detectors in the system. Alarm signaling is carried out using a bright, selective LED optical signal. The ability to replace the sensor module simplifies maintenance and reduces operating costs – allowing for quick replacement of a damaged sensor or adaptation to other measurement needs. Additionally, it is possible to extend the device with a relay output module (DG/MR version) or equip it with an additional mechanical guard or a duct housing. Configuration of settings is done using the dedicated "DETnet View" software.
Calibration and compliance with standards
The device is factory calibrated for a range below 5% by volume (v/v) of carbon dioxide, ensuring measurement accuracy under typical operating conditions. All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibration Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees the reliability of measurement results.
