Gas detector DG-A12/N
Gas Detectors DG/A – Reliable Safety in Any Environment
Gas detectors of the DG/A series are advanced devices designed to detect dangerous concentrations of toxic, explosive gases, oxygen, or refrigerants. Equipped with a 4-20 mA interface, they are ideal for collaboration with alarm and control modules, providing comprehensive protection in industrial and enclosed spaces. The DG-A12/N model, dedicated to methane (CH4) detection, offers precise measurement and a quick response to hazards.
Design and Application
DG/A detectors are characterized by a robust, splash-proof design, guaranteeing their reliability even in harsh working conditions. They utilize a replaceable, intelligent gas sensor – a semiconductor type in the DG-A12/N model – which simplifies maintenance and calibration. These devices are not intended for use in areas at risk of explosion from gases, vapors, or dusts, but they are perfect for monitoring safety in areas with a potential risk of methane leakage. The wide range of applications includes gas installations, boiler rooms, workshops, and laboratories.
Key Features and Benefits
- Replaceable sensor: Enables quick replacement and calibration without the need to replace the entire device – reduces operating costs and minimizes downtime.
- 4-20 mA interface: Provides easy integration with existing alarm and control systems.
- Two alarm thresholds: Allow setting two independent warning thresholds, tailored to specific application needs. An additional threshold, indicated optically, indicates the upper measurement range of the sensor.
- Built-in event history: Allows analysis of alarm causes and optimization of system operation (analysis available from the manufacturer).
- Calibration period expiry notification: Reminds of the need for regular calibration, ensuring continuous measurement accuracy.
- Test procedure: Facilitates identification of output wires during installation and servicing.
- Calibration in an accredited laboratory: Guarantees measurement accuracy and reliability (GAZEX laboratory accredited according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard).
- Thermal compensation: Ensures stable readings even at variable ambient temperatures.
- Splash-proof housing (IP44): Protects the device from moisture and contamination, increasing its durability.
The DG-A12/N model is factory-set to detect methane (CH4) in the range of 10/30% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit), with the possibility of extension to 40%. The sensor calibration period is 36 months. The device is powered by an external system and has two switching output relays and a 4-20 mA analog output.
