Propane-Butane Gas Detector DG-A15/N-Nstd – Reliable Safety
The DG-A15/N-Nstd gas detector is a system device designed for continuous monitoring of propane-butane (LPG) concentration in the air. It is used in industrial and enclosed spaces where there is a risk of gas leakage. Thanks to its precise measurement and rapid response, this detector provides effective protection against potential hazards. It is a key element of safety systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings using LPG.
Functionality and characteristic features
The DG-A15/N-Nstd device uses a replaceable, intelligent semiconductor gas sensor, which ensures high measurement accuracy and long-term reliability. It has two independently adjustable alarm thresholds at the production stage and an additional, third threshold indicated optically, corresponding to the upper measurement range of the sensor. Communication with alarm systems is via a passive 4-20 mA (3-wire) output, which facilitates integration with existing infrastructure.
It is worth noting several important features:
- Built-in event history: Allows analysis of detector operation and identification of potential problems (analysis available from the manufacturer).
- Calibration period expiry notification: Reminds of the need for regular servicing of the device, ensuring its continuous efficiency.
- Test procedure: Allows quick verification of the correct connection of output cables after power-on.
- Thermal compensation: Ensures stable readings even under changing environmental conditions.
- Splash-proof housing (IP44): Protects the device from moisture and dust in the recommended mounting position.
- Expandability: Option to equip with a mechanical guard AR-1 (for locations exposed to damage) or a ventilation duct housing (DG/w version).
Technical specifications and application
The DG-A15/N-Nstd detector is powered by an external system and is characterized by compact dimensions – 110 x 153 x 60 mm. The device is factory calibrated in the GAZEX Calibrating Laboratory, accredited in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees its accuracy and reliability of measurements. Standard alarm thresholds for propane-butane are 10/30/(40)% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit).
This detector is ideal for anywhere where there is a risk of LPG leakage:
- Heating and kitchen installations using butane or propane
- Warehouses and storage facilities with gas cylinders
- Automotive workshops
- Catering establishments
- Chemical laboratories
- Chemical and petrochemical industry
However, remember that the DG/A detector cannot be used in areas at risk of explosion of gases, vapors or dusts – it is a device of conventional construction.
