Hydrogen Chloride Detection in Industrial Plants and Beyond
The DG-P0E.HCL/MR gas detector is a reliable device designed for continuous monitoring of hydrogen chloride (HCl) concentration in the air. It utilizes an electrochemical sensor, providing precise measurement up to 30 ppm, with cross-sensitivity compensation – meaning it is less susceptible to interference from other gases. This detector finds application in industrial plants, logistics centers, public facilities, and anywhere there is a risk of emission of this toxic gas.
Functionality and Communication
The device offers wide possibilities of integration with supervision and control systems. Communication is via an RS-485 port with MODBUS RTU protocol, enabling data transmission to a central supervisory module. Two built-in relays with NO/NC contacts allow direct control of alarm indicators or other safety devices. The detector also has a built-in optical alarm signal.
Construction and Operation
The DG-P/MR series detectors are characterized by a modular design, which facilitates maintenance and sensor replacement. The replaceable sensor module (interchangeable with DG/F and DG/P models) allows for quick calibration and reduced operating costs. The device has screwless terminals for easy connection of FTP cables and two cable glands for easy connection of subsequent detectors in a network. A built-in microprocessor ensures stable and reliable operation, and a thermal compensation circuit minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement accuracy. Additionally, the detector records a history of alarm states, which facilitates event analysis and identification of potential problems. Configuration of settings is done using dedicated "DETnet View" software.
It is important to remember that these detectors are intended for use in areas not classified as explosion hazard zones. All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation no. AP150), which guarantees their accuracy and measurement reliability.
