Gas detector – reliable monitoring of nitrogen dioxide concentration

This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of the presence of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in the air. The device, utilizing an advanced electrochemical sensor, provides a precise measurement of gas concentration up to 20 ppm. This is a key solution for ensuring safety in industrial plants, logistics centers, and public facilities where the risk of toxic NO2 emissions is elevated.

Functionality and application

The DG-P0E.NO2/M detector is an integral part of the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System. Its main task is to measure the concentration of NO2 and transmit information about exceeding permissible levels to the supervisory module via the RS-485 network with the MODBUS RTU protocol. Alarm signaling is done using a built-in optical LED, ensuring a quick response in case of danger. The replaceable sensor module facilitates maintenance and calibration, reducing operating costs.

Design and user features

The device is characterized by a solid construction and a splash-proof housing made of high-impact ABS (IP44), which guarantees reliability even in harsh industrial conditions. Two cable glands facilitate connecting subsequent detectors in the system. A built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation and semi-automatic addressing in the digital network without the need to open the housing. Additionally, the detector has a thermal compensation circuit and stores a history of alarm states, which facilitates event analysis and system detection optimization. Removable screwless terminals allow for convenient connection of FTP cables.

The device is powered by 24V= voltage and its dimensions are 110 x 140 x 55 mm – a compact size facilitates mounting in various locations. However, it should be remembered that DG-P/M detectors cannot be used in areas classified as zones hazardous due to the explosion of gases, vapors or dusts – these are devices of conventional construction.
