Gas detectors – reliable air quality control
Digital detectors of the DG-P/M series are devices designed for continuous monitoring of gas presence in various spaces. Their task is to measure the concentration of a given gas in the surrounding air, and in case of exceeding permissible norms – to activate an alarm signal and transmit information to the central supervisory module via the RS-485 network. These detectors are used in industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities, and large rooms where there is a risk of emission of toxic or explosive gases.
This specific model, DG-P0E.O3/M, is designed to detect ozone with a sensitivity of 1 ppm (parts per million). It uses an electrochemical sensor, which ensures precise and reliable measurements. This detector is an element of the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System, which enables integration with other devices and centralized system management.
Construction and functionality
A key feature of DG-P/M detectors is the ability to exchange sensor modules. This simplifies device maintenance, makes calibration easier, and reduces operating costs. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation and reliability of the detector, and the thermal compensation system minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement accuracy. Additionally, the detector has a history of alarm states, which facilitates event analysis and identification of potential problems.
The device is characterized by a splash-proof housing (IP44) made of high-impact ABS, which increases its resistance to mechanical damage and environmental conditions. Two cable glands facilitate connecting subsequent detectors to the network. Communication is via the RS-485 standard with the MODBUS RTU protocol, ensuring compatibility with various control and monitoring systems. Detector settings are configured using the dedicated "DETnet View" software.
Application and compliance
GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees the accuracy and reliability of measurements. It should be remembered that DG-P/M detectors are devices of conventional construction and cannot be used in places where there is a risk of explosion of gases, vapors or dust. The wide range of applications includes monitoring air quality in production halls, warehouses, laboratories and other industrial and public utility facilities where there is a risk of ozone presence.
