Gas detector DG-P0E.SO2/MR SO2, 20ppm, electrochemical sensor

Gas detectors – reliable protection and control

Gas detector DG-P0E.SO2/MR is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of sulfur dioxide (SO2) concentration in the air. It utilizes an electrochemical sensor, providing precise measurements and a quick response to changes in gas concentration. The detector is used in industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities, and anywhere where there is a risk of toxic sulfur dioxide emissions.

Functionality and application

The device is part of the Digital Gas Detection System and allows for real-time monitoring of SO2 levels. If the defined alarm threshold (20 ppm) is exceeded, the detector activates optical signaling and changes the state of the built-in relays. Alarm information is also sent to the supervisory module via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol. This allows for a quick response to the threat and minimization of risks to health and the environment.

The DG-P0E.SO2/MR detector is characterized by a replaceable sensor module, which facilitates maintenance, calibration, and reduces operating costs. The ability to replace the sensor allows the device to be adapted to specific application needs and ensures long-term reliability.

Design and user features

The detector has been designed with ease of installation and use in mind. It has screwless terminals that allow connection of two FTP cables without the need for tools. Two cable glands facilitate connecting subsequent detectors to the network, and a built-in microprocessor ensures stable and reliable operation of the device. Additionally, the detector has a thermal compensation circuit and an alarm history, which facilitates data analysis and identification of potential problems. Configuration of settings is done using the dedicated "DETnet View" software. The device is powered by 24V=. Its compact dimensions (110 x 140 x 55 mm) allow for easy mounting in various locations.

It is important to remember that DG-P/MR detectors cannot be used in areas classified as zones hazardous due to the explosion of gases, vapors or dusts – these are devices of conventional construction.
