Gas Detectors DG-P/M Series – Reliable Protection Against Hazards
Digital gas detectors DG-P/M are devices designed for continuous monitoring of gas presence in various spaces – from industrial plants and logistics centers to public utility facilities. Their task is to measure the gas concentration in the air and activate an alarm signal when permissible norms are exceeded. Alarm information is also transmitted to the digital supervisory module via the RS-485 network.
These detectors are particularly useful in large rooms where there is a risk of emission of toxic or explosive gases. Thanks to replaceable sensor modules, maintenance, calibration and reduction of operating costs become easier than ever. It is worth emphasizing that these devices are not intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Design and Functionality
A key element of the DG-P/M detectors is the ability to exchange sensor modules – semiconductor, electrochemical or optical (Infra-Red). This allows you to adapt the detector to specific needs and applications. The detector's short response time results from the limited permeability of gases through the sensor cover. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable and reliable operation of the device and semi-automatic addressing in the digital network without the need to open the housing. Additionally, the detector has a thermal compensation circuit and an alarm history.
The use of removable screwless terminals facilitates the connection of FTP cables, and the splash-proof housing made of high-impact ABS (IP44) provides protection against moisture and mechanical damage. Two cable glands allow easy connection of subsequent detectors in the system. Selective LED optical signaling informs about the device status.
DG-P1R2/M Model Specifics
This particular model of the detector is designed to detect methane with a sensitivity of 100% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit). It uses an IR (Infra-Red) sensor, which is characterized by high selectivity and measurement accuracy. Communication is via the RS-485 standard, enabling integration with other monitoring and control systems. The detector is powered by 24V=. Its compact dimensions – 110 x 140 x 55 mm – allow for easy mounting in various locations. This detector is calibrated in its own GAZEX Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees its accuracy and reliability of measurements.
