Carbon Monoxide Detection for Safety and Comfort
This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide concentration in rooms, providing a quick response to potential hazards. The device is suitable for both industrial installations and public and residential buildings where the risk of CO occurrence is increased. Thanks to precise measurement and reliable signaling, the DG-P2E/N-Nstd detector helps protect the health and lives of users.
Functionality and Application
The DG-P2E/N-Nstd detector is a stationary, measuring toxic gas detector that uses an electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide. It is designed to work with various control modules (MDP-1.A/T, MDP-1 PLUS, MDP-4, MDP-8, MDP-16) and addressable systems (MDD-1, MDD-1/T, MDD-1x/T), as well as control panels accepting a 4-20 mA signal. This flexible solution allows integration with existing building monitoring and control systems. The 4-20 mA analog output enables remote reading of measurements and control of the device status.
It is worth emphasizing the possibility of using the detector with control units from other manufacturers – however, GAZEX recommends DG/PV models with dual outputs (4-20 mA and 2-10 V) to ensure optimal functionality. The detector is particularly useful in places where there is a risk of carbon monoxide formation – for example, in boiler rooms, garages, rooms with gas stoves or fireplaces.
Construction and Characteristics
The device is characterized by a solid construction with a splash-proof housing with dimensions of 110 x 140 x 55 mm. A replaceable sensor module ensures long-term operation and minimizes maintenance costs – after the sensor's service life, it can be replaced with a new one without having to replace the entire detector. Built-in thermal and linear compensation algorithms guarantee precise measurements regardless of environmental conditions. In addition, the detector has a built-in optical signaling system informing about exceeding the permissible gas concentrations. All GAZEX devices are calibrated in their own laboratory accredited in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation no. AP150), which confirms their high quality and reliability. The measurement range for carbon monoxide is 0 ÷ 500 ppm.
