Ammonia gas detector – reliable protection and control
The DG-P4E/M-Nstd gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of ammonia concentration in various spaces. Its main task is to ensure safety by early detection of dangerous gas levels and signaling an alarm. The detector finds application in industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities, and anywhere where there is a risk of ammonia emissions.
Construction and principle of operation
The DG-P4E/M-Nstd detector is based on an electrochemical sensor, which guarantees high measurement accuracy and reliable operation. The device is part of the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System, enabling integration with other system elements and central air condition monitoring. Communication is via an RS-485 port with the MODBUS RTU protocol, which facilitates integration with existing automation infrastructure. A built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation, and a thermal compensation system minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement results.
Advantages for installers and users
- Replaceable sensor module: Allows quick and easy sensor replacement in case of failure or calibration needs, reducing operating costs.
- Fast response time: Short gas permeability time through the sensor cover ensures rapid hazard detection.
- Remote configuration: Detector settings can be modified using the dedicated "DETnet View" software, simplifying the configuration process and adapting to specific application needs.
- Robust housing: Splash-proof housing made of high-impact ABS (IP44) protects the device from mechanical damage and weather conditions.
- Easy installation: Two cable glands facilitate connecting subsequent detectors to the network, and removable screwless terminals simplify wire connection.
- Alarm history: Recording of alarm states allows analysis of the causes of hazards and optimization of the safety system.
- Calibration: All detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Calibrating Laboratory accredited in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees measurement accuracy.
Technical specifications
The device is powered by 24 V= and is characterized by compact dimensions – 110 x 140 x 55 mm. It has a built-in optical alarm signal and an RS-485 standard output. The detector is intended for use in enclosed spaces and must not be used in areas at risk of explosion of gases, vapors or dust. The measurement range of the electrochemical sensor for ammonia is up to 1000 ppm (parts per million).
