Gas detectors DG-P4E/M – reliable ammonia monitoring
Digital detectors of the DG-P/M series, such as the DG-P4E/M model, are designed for continuous monitoring of gas concentrations in rooms. The device measures the level of ammonia in the air and, in the event of exceeding defined values, activates optical signaling and sends information to the central supervisory module via the RS-485 network. This detector finds application in industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities, and other large spaces where there is a risk of toxic gas emissions.
DG-P/M detectors are characterized by a modular design, allowing for easy replacement of sensory modules – semiconductor, electrochemical, or optical. This construction facilitates maintenance, simplifies calibration, and reduces operating costs. Replacing the module allows for quick restoration of full device functionality without the need to replace the entire detector.
Application and functionality
The DG-P4E/M detector is particularly useful in places where the presence of ammonia may pose a threat to health or safety. Thanks to its high sensitivity and measurement accuracy, the device provides effective protection against the negative effects of exposure to this gas. The alarm signal informs about exceeding permissible norms, enabling a quick response and minimizing risk.
- RS-485 communication: Enables integration with monitoring and control systems, providing central air status monitoring.
- Replaceable sensors: Facilitate servicing and calibration, and also allow adaptation of the detector to specific application needs.
- Thermal compensation: Ensures measurement stability regardless of ambient temperature.
- Alarm history: Allows analysis of events and identification of potential problems.
- Splash-proof housing (IP44): Protects the device against moisture and dust, ensuring reliable operation in harsh industrial conditions.
- Two cable glands: Facilitate connecting subsequent detectors to the network.
The device is powered by 24V= and has compact dimensions (110 x 140 x 55 mm), which facilitates installation in various locations. All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibration Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees the accuracy and reliability of measurements. It should be remembered that the DG-P/M detector is a device of ordinary construction and cannot be used in areas at risk of explosion of gases, vapors or dusts.
