The DG-P5E/M gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) concentrations in various industrial and public utility environments. Its purpose is to detect dangerous gas levels early, ensuring worker safety and protecting installations. This detector is an integral part of the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System, enabling comprehensive air quality monitoring.
Construction and Operating Principle
The device utilizes an electrochemical sensor characterized by high selectivity and measurement accuracy. When defined alarm thresholds are exceeded, the detector activates an optical signal, and hazard information is transmitted to the central supervisory module via an RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol. The replaceable sensor module facilitates maintenance, calibration, and reduces operating costs.
The DG-P5E/M detector has a splash-proof housing (IP44) made of durable ABS, ensuring its reliability in harsh industrial conditions. Two cable glands allow easy connection of additional detectors in a network. Additionally, the device is equipped with a thermal compensation circuit, ensuring measurement stability at varying temperatures. The ability to expand with additional relay outputs (DG-P/MR version) increases the device's functionality and allows integration with existing alarm systems.
