Gas detector DG-P7E/MR-Nstd hydrogen, measurement range on request, electrochemical sensor DG-P7E/MR-NSTD
Gas detectors – reliable protection against hydrogen leaks
This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of hydrogen presence in rooms. The device monitors the gas concentration in the air and, when defined alarm thresholds are exceeded, activates optical signaling and changes the state of the built-in relays. Additionally, in the measurement version, the concentration information is transmitted to a digital supervisory module via the RS-485 network. The detector finds application in industrial plants, logistics centers, and public utility facilities where safety related to the potential presence of hydrogen is crucial.
Functionality and construction for professionals and users
The DG-P7E/MR detector uses a replaceable electrochemical sensor module, which facilitates maintenance, calibration, and reduces operating costs. Replacing the sensor module allows for quick adaptation of the device to different applications and ensures long-term reliability. The built-in microprocessor guarantees stable operation and measurement accuracy, and the thermal compensation circuit minimizes the impact of temperature changes on readings. Communication is via the RS-485 port with the MODBUS RTU protocol, enabling easy integration with existing monitoring systems. Two built-in relays with NO/NC contacts allow direct control of external devices, such as shut-off valves or ventilation systems.
Key features and benefits
- Replaceable sensor module: Enables quick replacement of a damaged sensor or adaptation to another type of gas without the need to replace the entire detector. This translates into saving time and costs.
- RS-485 communication with MODBUS RTU protocol: Provides easy integration with building and industrial automation systems, enabling remote monitoring and control.
- Two alarm thresholds or measurement mode: Allows flexible adaptation of the device to specific application needs – from simple alarming to continuous gas concentration monitoring.
- Built-in relays: Enable direct control of external devices in the event of a dangerous gas concentration being detected, increasing the level of safety.
- Alarm status history: Helps in analyzing the causes of alarms and optimizing the operation of the gas detection system.
- Semi-automatic addressing: Facilitates configuration of the detector network without the need to open the device housing.
- Screwless terminals: Simplify electrical installation and ensure a secure connection of wires.
- Compact dimensions (110 x 140 x 55 mm): Enables mounting in places with limited space.
- 24 V= power supply: Ensures compatibility with a wide range of power sources.
Applications
The DG-P7E/MR detector works perfectly in the following applications:
- Warehouses and storage rooms with hydrogen installations
- Research laboratories using hydrogen
- Production plants using hydrogen as a raw material or finished product
- Hydrogen refueling stations
- Critical infrastructure facilities requiring a high level of security
The device is designed to cooperate with the GAZEX Digital Gas Detection System, but can also be used as a standalone alarm or measurement device. However, it should not be used in places exposed to the explosion of gases, vapors, or dust – this is a device of conventional construction.
