Carbon Dioxide Detector for Continuous Gas Concentration Control

This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide presence in rooms. The device uses an optical sensor (Infra-Red) for precise measurement of CO2 concentration and informs about exceeding permissible values via a built-in optical signaling system. The DG-P8R/M detector is an element of the Digital Gas Detection System, enabling integration with other devices via the RS-485 interface with the MODBUS RTU protocol.

Application and functionality

The detector finds application in industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities and anywhere where control of carbon dioxide concentration is necessary. Thanks to replaceable sensor modules, device maintenance and calibration are simplified, and operating costs are reduced. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation and reliability of the detector. Additionally, the device has a thermal compensation circuit and alarm history.

Construction and user features

The DG-P8R/M detector is characterized by a splash-proof housing made of high-impact ABS (IP44), which ensures its durability and resistance to environmental conditions. Two cable glands facilitate the connection of subsequent detectors in the system. The device is powered by 24 V= and has removable screwless terminals, allowing connection of two FTP cables. The possibility of equipping with an additional cover or a ventilation duct housing expands the range of applications of the detector. Configuration of settings is done using dedicated "DETnet View" software. All detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory, operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
