Propane-Butane Gas Detector – Reliable Installation Safety
The DG-PV1KL5 gas detector is a device designed for continuous monitoring of propane-butane concentration in the air. It utilizes a catalytic sensor, which ensures precise measurement in the range up to 100% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit). The detector is a key element of safety systems in places where there is a risk of gas leakage, protecting against potential hazards.
Functionality and application
The device is intended for installation in industrial and enclosed premises where flammable gases may be present. Thanks to the active 4-20mA current output and 2-10V voltage output, the DG-PV1KL5 detector can be easily integrated with various control panels and alarm systems available on the market. Optical signaling (two LEDs) informs about exceeding the permissible gas concentration levels, as well as the device's operating status.
- Versatility: Compatible with control panels from various manufacturers thanks to standard signal outputs.
- Replaceable sensor: Allows for quick and easy replacement of a damaged or worn sensor without the need to replace the entire detector.
- Temperature compensation: Ensures measurement accuracy even under changing environmental conditions.
- Splash-proof housing (IP44): Protects the device from moisture and ensures reliable operation in harsh conditions.
- Expandability: Option to mount a mechanical guard AR-1d protects against mechanical damage, and a ventilation duct housing (option DG/w) allows for precise monitoring in ventilation systems.
Construction and additional features
The DG/PV series detectors are characterized by a solid construction and high quality of workmanship. They have removable terminals allowing connection of single- and multi-strand wires without the need for ferrules. The built-in thermal compensation circuit minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement accuracy. Additionally, the detector has a built-in optical indicator, which informs about exceeding the measurement range and the technical condition of the device – signaling the calibration deadline and the history of failure states are very helpful in maintaining the system's efficiency. It should be remembered that DG/PV detectors are not intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and do not work with MDP, MDA or MDD modules. The device is powered by 24V=.
