Carbon Monoxide Gas Detector – Reliable Safety

The DG-PV2E gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide concentration in the air. Equipped with an electrochemical sensor, it provides a precise measurement in the range of up to 500 ppm, making it an ideal solution for both industrial and domestic applications. Its versatility stems from its ability to cooperate with various control panels and gas detection systems, utilizing 4-20mA or 2-10V signals.

Functionality and application

The DG-PV2E detector finds application wherever there is a risk of dangerous concentrations of carbon monoxide – from boiler rooms and garages, through industrial premises, to residential buildings. Its main task is to protect the health and life of users by early detection of the hazard. The device is particularly useful in places where fuel-burning appliances are present (e.g., furnaces, fireplaces, gas stoves), which may emit carbon monoxide in case of malfunction.

It is worth emphasizing that the DG-PV2E detector has a replaceable gas sensor, which allows for easy and inexpensive replacement of the measuring element after its service life expires or in case of damage. Additionally, the device is equipped with a number of signaling functions – optical (thanks to two LEDs) and electrical (4-20mA and 2-10V outputs) – which inform about exceeding the permissible gas concentration limits, failures or the need for calibration. The built-in thermal compensation circuit ensures measurement accuracy even under changing environmental conditions.

Construction and characteristic features

The DG-PV2E detector is characterized by a solid construction and high quality of workmanship. Its housing made of high-impact ABS/PC provides resistance to mechanical damage and splash protection (IP44 in the recommended mounting position). Removable terminals facilitate the connection of single- and multi-strand wires without the need for ferrules. The device is powered by 24V= voltage and typically draws 25 mA current (DG-PVnE models). Compact dimensions (110 x 140 x 55 mm) and low weight (approx. 0.3 kg) facilitate mounting and installation of the detector in various locations. Importantly, all GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees their reliability and measurement accuracy.
