Gas detectors of the DG/PV series – reliable safety in industry
DG/PV type measuring detectors are devices designed for continuous monitoring of dangerous gas concentrations in industrial and enclosed spaces. Equipped with a replaceable sensor module, these detectors find application wherever precise atmosphere control and rapid response to potential hazards are required. These devices are compatible with central units from various manufacturers, offering flexibility in integration with existing gas detection systems. It should be noted that DG/PV detectors are not intended for use in explosion-hazardous areas.
Versatility and functionality
DG/PV detectors stand out with a rich set of functions facilitating both installation and operation. They have two independent outputs – current 4-20mA (active) and voltage 2-10V, which ensures compatibility with various control and alarm systems. Built-in optical signaling (with two LEDs) informs about exceeding permissible norms, failures, and the need for calibration. Additionally, the thermal compensation circuit minimizes the impact of ambient temperature changes on measurement accuracy.
The construction of DG/PV detectors has been designed with ease of installation and maintenance in mind. Removable terminals allow connection of single- and multi-strand wires without the need for ferrules. A splash-proof sensor cover (IP44 in the recommended mounting position) protects the device against moisture and contamination. To increase mechanical resistance, the detector can be equipped with an additional cover made of profile pipes or an enclosure for mounting on a ventilation duct.
Specifics of the DG-PV4E model – ammonia detector
The DG-PV4E model is a dedicated detector designed for detecting ammonia (NH3) in the concentration range up to 1000 ppm. It uses an electrochemical measuring sensor, which is characterized by high selectivity and accuracy. This detector finds application in:
- Refrigeration industry – monitoring ammonia leaks from refrigeration installations.
- Agriculture – control of ammonia concentration in livestock buildings.
- Chemical industry – detection of ammonia as a by-product of technological processes.
- Wastewater treatment plants - control of ammonia emissions during biological processes.
It is worth noting that the sensor modules for DG/PV and DG/P are mutually interchangeable, which allows adapting the detector to different needs without the need to replace the entire device. All GAZEX detectors are factory calibrated in an accredited laboratory in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard, which guarantees their reliability and measurement accuracy.
