SF6 gas detector – reliable measurement in demanding conditions

The DG-PV6R7-SF6 gas detector is a precise device designed for continuous monitoring of SF6 concentration in the air. It uses an optical (IR) sensor, which ensures high selectivity and measurement accuracy, even in harsh industrial conditions. The detector is particularly useful wherever detecting leaks of this gas is important, e.g. in high-voltage switchgear, laboratories, or production plants.

The DG-PV6R7-SF6 device is a measuring detector with an active 4-20mA current output and a 2-10V voltage output, which enables easy integration with various monitoring and control systems. Designed to work with central units from different manufacturers, it offers flexibility in building comprehensive gas detection systems. It is important to remember that detectors from the DG/PV series are not intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Technical specifications and operating parameters

The DG-PV6R7-SF6 detector has been designed with precision and reliability in mind. It uses optical (IR) technology to measure SF6 concentration in the range of 0 ÷ 2000 ppm with a resolution of 10 ppm. The device is powered by 24V DC and is characterized by low current consumption (approx. 40mA). An important aspect is also the operating temperature range – the recommended range is -20°C ÷ +45°C (occasional permissible from -25°C to +50°C).

The signal output is implemented in accordance with the 4-20mA and 2-10V standards, and the device is powered by 24V DC. The SF6 measurement range is from 0 to 2000 ppm with a resolution of 10 ppm. The recommended operating temperature range is -20°C ÷ +45°C, with occasional operation (up to 1h/12h) permissible in the range of -25°C to +50°C. The detector housing has an IP44 degree of protection (splash-proof).
