Gas detector DK-61
Gas detectors DK-nn – protection in your home and workplace
Gas detectors of the DK-nn series are reliable devices designed for continuous monitoring of the presence of explosive gases, carbon monoxide (CO) or refrigerants in residential, utility and industrial premises. They serve to early detect dangerous concentrations, signaling them optically and acoustically, and also activating appropriate alarm outputs. This ensures the safety of users and protects against potential hazards.
Application and functionality
DK-nn detectors find wide application in various environments:
- Domestic boiler rooms: especially models DK-12 and DK-15 for detecting methane (natural gas) and propane-butane.
- Kitchens and bathrooms: with gas appliances, e.g. stoves, heaters, water heaters.
- Rooms with air conditioning: DK-61 models ideal for detecting R32 or R410A refrigerants.
- Attached garages: exhaust gas control.
- School workshops: physics and chemistry.
- Boiler rooms fired with solid fuel: protection against carbon monoxide.
- Installations with a gas shut-off valve: DK-nn.Z versions allow automatic shut-off of the gas supply in case of a hazard detection.
It is important to remember that a carbon monoxide detector does not replace a smoke detector and does not react to flammable gases – therefore, it is important to choose the right model for the specific hazard. A flammable gas detector calibrated for natural gas should not be used to detect propane-butane and vice versa.
Design and product features
DK-nn detectors are characterized by a solid construction and advanced technology:
- Microprocessor control: ensures precise measurements and reliable operation.
- Replaceable sensor module: facilitates maintenance and reduces operating costs – module replacement is simple and inexpensive.
- Possibility of cooperation with many devices: controlling external signaling devices (e.g. DK-S3 siren or DK-L2 warning light) and gas shut-off valves (type ZB or MAG-3).
- 3-year warranty: confirms the high quality of the product and the manufacturer's confidence in its durability.
- Calibration in an accredited laboratory: detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Calibrating Laboratory, operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees measurement accuracy.
In addition, the detectors are adapted for continuous operation, reaching full measurement efficiency after 4 days of continuous power supply. The alarm signal is given by an optical lamp and an audible signal of varying frequency, informing about the type of gas detected and its concentration. In the case of models equipped with a control output for a shut-off valve, the connection cable should be selected appropriately to the length of the installation and the type of valve (see table in the operating manual).
