Propane-Butane Gas Detector – Reliable Protection of Your Safety
This digital gas detector, model WG-15.EG/A, is designed for continuous monitoring of propane-butane (LPG) gas concentration in enclosed spaces. The device is perfect for garages, underground parking lots, car workshops, and warehouses where there is a risk of gas leakage. Its task is to quickly detect dangerous gas levels and trigger an alarm, allowing for immediate action to prevent a hazard.
Functionality and Application
The WG-15.EG/A detector uses a selective sensor to measure the concentration of propane-butane in the range of 10/20/30% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit). The built-in microprocessor ensures reliable and stable operation, as well as thermal compensation of measurements. The device is fully automatic – it does not require any adjustments. This allows installers to quickly and easily mount the detector, and end-users to enjoy peace of mind without the need for manual calibration or parameter setting.
The detector finds application in:
- closed garages and underground parking lots – controlling ventilation systems;
- vehicle inspection stations and car workshops – controlling exhaust systems;
- warehouses, loading docks and logistics centers – ensuring safety during transshipment operations.
Design and Product Features
The device is characterized by a solid, splash-proof housing (IP54), which ensures its durability even in harsh operating conditions. The one-piece construction includes a replaceable gas sensor, power supply, and control circuits, making servicing and component replacement easier. The detector has three alarm thresholds compliant with the European standard PN-EN 50545-1:2012 and three separate outputs with the possibility of configuring a common contact connection. Additionally, the A3 output can be used as a fault signal or to control an additional set of signaling devices. All terminals are removable, making it easier to connect multi-strand wires. The device is powered by 12V=. All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the standard PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees the accuracy and reliability of measurements. A replaceable gas sensor guarantees low operating costs and long-term functionality of the device.
