Carbon Monoxide Detector – Safety and Control

This detector is designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) concentration in enclosed spaces. The device cyclically measures the gas level, and in case of exceeding the permissible norms, it activates optical and acoustic signaling and activates control outputs. This is a reliable solution to ensure safety in places with a potential risk of CO poisoning.

Application and functionality

The WG-22.EGx/A detector finds application in a wide range of facilities where there is a risk of carbon monoxide formation, including:

• closed garages and underground parking lots – ventilation control,
• solid fuel boiler rooms,
• rooms with heating devices,
• cold storage rooms,
• rooms with air conditioning units.

Thanks to the replaceable gas sensor, the detector operation is simple and economical. The device has three alarm thresholds and three NO type contact outputs, enabling integration with ventilation control systems or other safety devices. Additionally, it is possible to connect an external alarm siren (12V=/80mA). The built-in microprocessor ensures stable and reliable operation of the detector and thermal compensation of measurements.

Construction and parameters

The detector is housed in a solid, splash-proof housing, which increases its durability and resistance to environmental conditions. 12V DC power supply ensures easy installation and integration with existing systems. The power supply terminals are removable, which facilitates the connection of multi-strand wires. The device is calibrated in its own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory, operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation no. AP150), which guarantees measurement accuracy. The detector reacts to CO concentrations at three levels: 30 ppm, 60 ppm and 150 ppm – these values are in accordance with the PN-EN 50545-1 standard.
